The TRACE M4 peripheral is an extension of the TRACE C2 Controlwith the option to monitor up to four different bioreactors.
The TRACE M4 integrates 4 additional pumps and four 3/2-way valves into the fluidics so that four sampling probes can be operated in parallel. The desired probe is then selected by means of the additional valves. This addition allows a spontaneous change between the four measuring probes without flushing times. This results in a higher measuring frequency than with the MultiTRACE.
It is therefore mainly used for microbial cultivations in parallel experiments for media optimization and process control. The timing and number of assays per reactor and its sequence can be easily scheduled by an integrated calendar function.
TRACE M4 provides continuous analysis independent of the type of cultivation (batch, fed-batch, continual cultivation). Due to its structured design and simple operating concept, routine analysis functions can be performed with only a brief introduction.
The device is connected to the bioreactor using preconfigured single use tubing sets including pumps and valves for precise control of all procedures rendering safe operation possible over long time periods. Its special design enables safe and economic continuous and long-term operations with almost no amount of maintenance and low installation size. For connection to the bioreactors TRACE Analytics GmbH offers its well-proven (single-use) dialysis sampling probes, bypass modules and filtration probes.
TRACE M4 is a compact and cost-effective peripheral device for the TRACE C2 Control, which is designed for the requirements of fast fermentation processes (microbial cultivations). It is operated via the supplied PC software via Ethernet.
